Thanks to everyone for your comments on my last little experiment - today I am uploading another one, if you will bear with me! I am putting on two images, one processed just slightly differently from the other, and I would be interested to hear which one you think is the better image.

And in case anyone fancies a "go" themselves, I am putting on Mods!

Carol

I' m afraid my sight is not acute enough to detect any difference, Carol, but I love the subject matter and your overall composition.
Ronnie.

The whites are whiter in v1, Carol, but there's more detail in the shadows in v2. Probably v2 by a whisker. Smile

V2 shows up the swan better. The light is a bit flat in V1.
The image though is superb - right time right place!

A lovely shot Carol, with the path and wooden rails leading the eye nicely into the scene, but the swan walking towards you really makes a cracking shot Wink Has to be V2 for me, which shows more detail in both the swan and texture in the snow Smile

Let me say for a start, the swan in such strange (for him) surroundings gave me quite a laugh Carol, as to comparing the two versions, weighing up the pros and cons I've settled for V1 by a whisker!
Rgds., Jim
PS. Is this one of your Dad's swans from the pumphouse? Grin
