i know this shot is a little to dark esp the forground but im sticing with it untill i get chance to try this again...

The sun has obviously gone down, light levels are naturally low and that is exactly how you have captured this shot, Stuart: any attempt to lighten the shadowed areas or the whole scene would destroy the sleepy atmosphere created. And the f/g spreading ripples just finishes the image off perfectly. It's just fine as it is IMHO.
