A rather minimalistic style photograph this morning. I have tried to keep this piece as simple in form as possible concentrating on only the needles head. The golden thread was added in order to create a touch of drama and opulence against the red and golden fabric. A piece that I rather admire, however please feel free to comment.

A very big thank you goes out to you all following yesterdays rather thought evoking image 'Sodden' bench. It was rather refreshing to know that many of year also had your own interpretations of the image, which in many ways gave me much fuel for thought.

Hope you all have a great day ahead.

Highest regards to you all Nathan

I could not work it out untill I read your info....
Great colours very intresting D.O.F.
I think a slightly higher F stop is needed.
Just to work out what you see..
A bit more of the eye and thread...
Not much but enough to say that what it is...
I do like th e colours and lighting...

You have executed the original idea most effectively, Nathan: I could not work out what I was seeing as a thumbnail and even when viewed large it took a moment.
Interesting idea and I do like the final result.

It was not hard for me to work out your shot Nathan, having threaded thousands of needles over the years, I like the concept of this and think it works extremely well, and the eye of the needle is the point of focus, easily lead to it by the thread anyway, choice of colours is also very good so all in all a great attempt that spells success from my point of view, regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

As soon as I opened this picture I instantly saw the eye of the needle and knew what I was looking at. But then after a second or two of studying it I saw the gold thread, a good colour to use. What I like about this best is you have produced another great yet simple image of an everyday object. Very clever and an extremely nice picture.

A classic example of less is more, Nathan. I do not feel that any more of this needs to be in focus, I like it just as it is.
The addition of the golden thread is absolutely necessary, otherwise the needle on its own would not have the same effect on the eye.
