A Time To Keep

The stories in George Mackay Brown’s A Time to Keep are tales of life in all its small detail, set in the harsh and beautiful landscape of the Northern Isles. Fair Isle singer, songwriter and poet Lise Sinclair has written a series of new songs that bring the stories out of the book, connecting the past with the present and the Northern Isles with Iceland.

Working with Lise, this photograph is the image I produced for the album cover of her new release 'A Time to Keep and other songs'.

Fair Isle is the UK’s most remote inhabited island, half way between Orkney and Shetland.
