Looks like a very fine ash that has built up here and one can imagine what devastation would be caused if such was deposited on a domestic area with houses and gardens.......hardly bears thinking about.
Fine study from this ever changing part of our planet, Peter.
Ronnie.

So many layers of ash for the winds and rains to wash clean from the land, a marvellous close look at how it covers everything.

A barren landscape for years to come. A fine record of this volcanic aftermath, Peter.

Never associated volcanic ash with beauty Peter but in this image you are showing that it can acquire some.
