I used to take photos through arch way a lot without knowing it, until one of the member pointed out. I stopped a bit. But it seems that the old habit dies hard. When I took this one, it was the front view of the arch attrated me at the first place, again. There was a beautiful tower located in the middle, but I didn't want to repeat myself too much to bore you to deathGrin,,so I shifted a bit... ( I secretly took one with the towerGrin). It was a bit dark, I tried flash. I'm trying to learn to use flash, I didn't know what would come out, and when I saw it yesterday, I didn't know what to do with it either.Perspective wise, I made it "thiner"; light wise, I brightened it up a bit, increased the middle tone's contrast, darkened the left top. I'd like to have your ideas, anything, everything..all welcome. I'll upload the original for you to have a look or have a play ..Just for fun.
BTW, I've received Lynne's (LynneJoyce) MOD of my last uploading ( The lamp) with beautiful border and corrected perspective. I'll upload it here for you to have a look as well. And also want to say thanks to Lynne for her kind help and time.Very much appreciatedWink

I think you have over done the flash a bit. I would have reduced flash power a little to add detail in the arch but retain the correct exposure of the view through the arch. I think possibly a bit more scene and a bit less arch for me - retain the full framing but move physically a bit to the right if possible.

There is nothing really wrong at all - just could be even better.

I wasn't quite sure about the composition, only tried to avoid doing the same thing again and agian..also I trid to get a view of the figures...Maybe it's not a good idea either, too many objects..a bit "noisy".
