Taken around the same time as my Babushka dolls in my first EPZ meet upload, I came across these wooden ducks in the open market on Parliament Street. Trying to think up a title, I wondered what the collective noun for ducks was - most websites refer to ducks in flight or on water, but one website came up with a waddle of ducks!

Techie stuff see Exif
Single Raw image processed in Adobe Camera Raw, tweaked in Photomatix Pro and Elements 6.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

It is surprising the amount of people that tell me they are having a duck for Xmas dinner this year Trev.
Perhaps a plate of ducks,or a rack of ducks might be more appropriate. !!
And if I was a duck and anyone approached me at this time of year,
I certainly would move faster than a waddle !!
Good shot.
Mick.

Good one, I remember these and I should have looked harder at them. I like the way they see puzzled and a bit lost, suddenly finding themselves in the city and surrounded by so many people.

They look most appealing in this photo, Trev. I missed them altogether, which is unusual as ducks are my favourite, especially on a plate Smile

probably a 'forest of ducks' is more appropriate in this case!

Nice shot of a subject most of us would have walked past: they must have been standing there a while though as I see one has keeled over and is resting against his neighbour's back.

Love them Trev, would have some in my garden, but look at all the sawdust you would have to clear.

A Waddling is indeed very appropriate, Trev. We are always told as photographers to look upwards when in the streets, but you remembered to look the opposite way, as all who say they failed to spot these confirm.

They look like they com from Wooden Top Farm...if you are mature enough to remember Watch With MotherGrin

Delightful, funny picture. The collective nouns for ducks - you get a choice of a -
brace of ducks
flock of ducks
flush of ducks
paddling of ducks
raft of ducks
team of ducks
I don't know why there are so many!

Great choice of title Trev and a lovely shot. I have included the wooden ducks with shoes from the same stall on in my latest posting from the trip.
