I love tree shots..be it lone trees or a autumn coloured bonanza of beech, oak n birch. Anyway a few days ago RonnieAG posted a beechwood that he put a variant up with some motion blur...these type of thing fascinate me and I went in search of images on my hard drive to manipulate. I came across this place a few years ago when out walking with a mate...its in the beacons and goes on for a few miles. Because of the position of the valley it is in it does not see much sunlight and what sun it gets it is very difficult to penetrate into because of the canopy. It makes for a bit of a scary place when you are on your own...trees creaking etc. Anyway, thought it was an ideal image for messing about with...the place has a permanent green cast to it - I will upload the original as a variant if anyone fancies showing me how they would play about with this? Thanks for looking...juts having some fun innit.

I love it Alan. Your PS work has given the shot a very atmospheric feeling and does make it look a bit spooky.

Lovely piece of work here Alan - love the applied motion blur to portions of this to create hanging moss and the colour is fabulous - quite an eerie feel which I really like!

Have posted a Mod just because the option was there - the mod was taken from the upload rather than th original - applied a blue-ish cast and mist with some moonbeams coming through the trees then added a solitary figure.

Hi Al ,must say its a great image to start with ,and it gave me a lot of fun having a play around with it .Got about a foot of snow here at the moment ....lolSmile

I really like this image, The colours are so vibrant and rich, and a path that draws the viewer in ant takes you to another world, like into an enchanted forest where danger may present itself at any moment. With this image You have created a really scary atmospheric scene.

This is a great image. I had fun doing 3 mods in black and white, sepia and deep saturation.

Motion blur always worked well in woody scene in my opinion, beautifully done Al. Also like some of the other mods.

I have only been on this site a short time, but I have looked at a lot of images...this is now in my top 5 favourite...absolutely superb...sorry to all the people that uploaded a mod, but I don't like any of them...! I better not say any more than that... a lot of the images I look at on site, I feel I would like to do a mod on them... but with this one I would not change a thing...the only down side to this image is...not being able to enlarge it...!!!

a Stunning image...it was nice to read the write up as well...Excelento...Smile
