Hi everyone, I have followed this gent,s portfolio for some time and his work is very good, But! I think in this instant to submit a wedding in B&W with vinyette does not really say wow like the rest of his work. (its a good weddingshot) I hope that this constructive comment is not misconstrued. I think his work generally is very good. And I believe his followers as myself are helping with comments.
Best regards

Nice to see a wedding shot with a bit of difference, Nezih.

Like the focus on the bride in white amidst the darkness.

Shot from a distance in the cathedral in low light using Pentax 50-200mm, had to use high iso as they were leaving. I only converted the image using silver effex pro2 and cropped to 30X40, no vignetting applied.

I really like the composition, Nezih: it is different to the norm, which I appreciate. There are a lot of little highlights on the left (polished furniture, perhaps?) that might be better toned down or removed.
Our daughter's wedding is next Saturday. We have spoken at length with the official photographer and his portfolio is refreshingly non-standard (though of course certain clichés are both expected and admired); he also includes a lot of monochrome. Hurrah!
Regards
Bill

In their own little pool of light. I could see that this was 'natural' vignetting, shadows, and it works well, the image has a feeling of intimacy. This is their private moment for all that there may be many people present.
I like the way you have allowed them space to move into.
I suspect that we will be boring people silly with wedding pictures in a couple of weeks time.

I like this image, Nezih!
I think the 'natural' vignette helps the composition and ability to home in on the subject(s)!

An eye catching shot - and you have captured the moment so well. The lighting just throws emphasis on the couple. Great shot.

The focus is on the bride who looks absolutly lovely and her groom loking lovingly on.
I'm told wedding photography is a nightmare trying to focus for black & white
and those overdone tans!!!!!

Whilst the image celebrates a wonderful event in the couples lives I feel that this particular image does not portray those feeling of happiness, love, joy and so much more associated feelings. I feel that the darkness around the couple acts as a void or a black hole in which the couple are going to fall into. Therefore I feel that there is a lot of uncertainly in the image, a lot of questions to be asked, Why the isolation?, Why the black shroud masking the rest of the scene? A scene which should be screaming out messages of celebration and commitment. I would be therefore tempted to produce a much tighter crop capturing the clearly happy couple with the unnecessary empty space surrounding them.

"Sorry if I appear to be to harsh or damming Nezih..."
