...and boy was it cold. I was only out in it for an hour or so but by the time I got home my hands were all dried and chapped through sheer cold.

The first image is a single shot of these idyllic cottages reflected in the Rochdale Canal as it passes through Hebden Bridge.

Bearing in mind I market my work as "photographic art for the home" and I sell work for customers to stick on their walls...version two (or something very similar) is what I will sell. It is a combination of three images each 1.3 stops apart. Processed through photomatix then a touch of "orton" effect added to all but the cottages and barges.

Hope someone out there appraoves of at least one of them. Wink
Mike

Hi Mike, love version2 the best but that's just personal. They both have brilliant textures and light and detail and the mirror like images of the reflections are fantastic.AnnSmile

I can believe how cold it was.......often my hands have been frozen after only 10 minutes outdoors recently.
But what a superb canal side composition to home with, the reflections so crisp and clear.
There's something special about some winter days, the air so clear and without the haze of summer.
Ronnie.

Excellent composition with the lovely curved grass banking leading us round
to the barges and that beautiful building.
I prefer V1 - it has enough of interest and beauty without anything extra.

A stunning composition Mike, which has been enhanced superbly. The detail in version two is simply outstanding. Very well crafted and worked.

I would suggest V1, much more detail and the colours are better. Great picture
