I don't recall ever seeing this view before, from Crumnock water right over to Fleetwith Pile and Haystacks in the far distance, the stone slabs in the f/g pointing the way.
Ronnie.

Thanks Adrian and Ronnie.

Adrian - correct. Smile It did while we were driving there, and it did when we left... but not while we were actually walking.. Smile

Ronnie, I wanted to get an alternative view down the valley.. and found an ideal spot for looking both east and west Smile

Original PoV and the lichenified (is that a real word?) rocks supply both FG interest and a lead in line so lots of depth. Those wee english hummocks in the background look bigger than I imagined they would Wink Beautiful image Jeanie and not a trace of a halo, left or right!! GrinGrin

The lone tree on Crummock Water with the islet behind it attracted me but it peed down when I was there, This is more like the kind of shot I aspired to achieve. Beautiful image, Jeanie
