Thank you to everyone that commented and voted on yesterday’s upload – really didn’t expect it to do that well!
Back to the Isles of Scilly for today’s offering; this was taken after a heavy downpour (see clouds left) where I sat with a carrier bag over the camera waiting for a break of good weather, it came and I shot!
This whole day was basically an experiment to see if could get any mood/drama from a daytime shot without relying on a mono conversion or heavy PS work.
I have had to rely on strong composition (hopefully) and the use of a polariser and ND grad to get the most out of the colour and movement in the sky and water.
For those of you die hard sunrise/sunset brigade (yeah like I can talk ) it is worth a try once in a while, as it really makes you think when you haven’t got fantastic colour to fall back on.
As it was an experiment I have asked for my first Pro technique - hope they don't tear it apart!
