Another female Adder shot from the weekend. A bit of a tricky shot shot to get when shooting overhead, as you have to be aware that your legs are out of striking distance from the Adder.
Thanks for looking.
1/30th sec @f/16 iso 200 with tripod
An excellent shot all round, especially at such close range.
Fabulous capture showing off the camoflauge (spelling) of these fabulous snakes.Would love to see one of these.
I've never seen one of these in the wild, I like how you've managed to capture the whole of her. Full of lovely details and a good clear background. Good shot!
Cracking shot very good colours and texture
Great shot, kove the contrasting BG.
a cracking shot-you are brave!
Thanks very much folks.
Great shot, Steve. I am not sure that I would get right above it like that though!
Love the shapes and textures here - there is NO WAY I could have got that close!!
Great shot, you done well to find this,Paul.
This shows off her markings beautifully. Just love the different textures and colours.
Great patterns.. and composition... and colours..
Great shot !!
Super stuff, I wish I could even glimpse one!
Superb shot. The lichen covered rocks are an excellent textural b/g for the snake. Great shot.
A cracking shot IMHO - great looking female adder. I would have preferred to see a wee bit more of that super lichen covered rock - but lets face it was your first photographic encounter. No doubt you'll get better opportunities the next time and the time after that.
Thanks for the comments guys. Cheers Geoff, I do have a few more showing the lichen/rock but like you say...hopefully I can improve with a few more attempts.
Great composition and an obliging adder
Wonderful markings Steve.
Braver man than me!!
Great detail on the snakes back and glad to get this top RC.
Love all the detail, curves and shape here.....the textures are really something else - in both the adder and the rock! Fantastic work.
It looks beautiful but I wouldn't want to be within a mile of it lol.
