A set of images of three pairs of adonis blue butterflies I caught mating at Swelshill Bank near Stroud.
V1 - taken at the beginning of the month when we were enjoying a rare spell of hot weather
V2 -taken at the end of August on the Bank Holiday weekend
V3 -taken at the end of May
V4 - A Silly Sunday image especially for MrsWoolybill, a yellow glove I saw on a gatepost at the top of Leckhampton Hill on Friday afternoon.

Photographs 1,2 and 3 are pretty mediocre Ed SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile, however the last image is a cheer masterpiece. One that truly draws ones attention, and fulfils each and every criteria for the 'Silly Sunday' title.

Regards Nathan

Fine shots of the mating couples, Ed, but V 4 for it's quirkiness is my favourite today.......a missing hand but still pointing out the way to go.
As well the fingers are horizontal and not vertical........might have suggested something else.
Ronnie.

A fantastic set, Ed, with V.1 being the outright winner. What a shame a wretched tick has got in on the act Sad Carol

Look's like a Red Mite has attached itself in V1, which is another stunner Ed.

the adult series is fantastic, v2 being my favourite for the glorious light, no tick Smile which seems a bit distracting in the act and v4 is a completely new critter to mee, would it be the dreaded for headed maxi slug ?
