This is a great shot. I so much want to see his eyes, but the life lines in his face almost make that redundant.
He has character and experience written everywhere.
I can suggest only to enhace the existing catchlights in his eyes, ans crop a little narrower.
I noticed his beard and hair have green colours in them, - I dont know of they were as a results of paint, and the rest of the shot looks fine. I did tone them down in the mods, and absolutely had to try a mono.

Hi Bernabe,
Great capture of a face with life-lines which suggest that life's not been the easiest and give it character.
Bernabe, I personally would have liked to have seen slightly more detail on the right of hie face. Using the eyedroppers in exposure I have managed to gain a little more without pushing it to far. Also if it was possible, again personally I would have liked to have seen the top of his head, again added in the mod.

Love the detail in this, the eyes, yeah would have been nice maybe to see some detail I guess. My biggest criticism is the depth of shadow on the face. Hard one to read this one as it seems there are two light sources (?) one right and one left - maybe a reflector would have worked to throw in some detail in the shadow or if he'd just turned a little to the left that might have worked or just a little fill in flash on low power - the shadows just need lifting to get some detail.

Great work.
Apart from the top of his head being missing, I wouldn't change this at all.
I wouldn't even bother with catchlights. There's just the hint of a twinkle in his eyes and for me, that's enough.

I would look at this in terms of printing. With the highlights you would be back to the paper as there is no colour left in the image. That said, the black and white image that Banehawi posted really works well. I like the background, it is nicely blurred and he is fantastically sharp. The eyes do need some work as in this image there is very little to see and the eyes, as they say, are the windows to the soul!
Hello Bernabe, we have all liked your work. I would ask you to talk to us beyond what we see caught by the camera. I suspected that the main light source was from the left that is why the man's right side of the face is darker. Aging skin from the exposure to sun, God bless us with some more, has had its effect on his eyelids and made them fall and cast shadow over the eyes. To me his facial expression, the gentle smile, is more than enough to show me his feelings, it's like admiring ancient bronze or rock statues where the eyes are missing. We still consider them art. I tip my hat to you Bernabe.
