An experiment in mono, the original was warm morning light. Converted to mono to see if it conveys that still.
I think it would be a belter if it was given more contrast, particularly the animal on the left.
agree about the contrast ... will bring in more depth.
its a great composition ... the morning light woudl be glorious i am sure
A Great mono shot Ron, well ballanced. A lack of contrast adds to the atmosphere here.
Yep needs contrast, but it's hard to beat the golden light when it becomes grey.
very nice Ron
Converts beautifully in my eye Ron!
I agree with the comments re contrast, but as an e2 member why 600 px, when you can go to 1000? The loss in quality with something as subtle as this would have been quite a bit. I would also have lost the subject far right just cutting into the frame.
Nicely done. I would like to see the original
eery & well done !
By the shape of the horns, they look like Red Hartebeest, I like this!
Love the crop, it exaggerates the tension and contrasts between the two sides. I'm not sure that I want to see more tension, this conveys the light perfectly for me.
nice atmosphere in this shot well captured
Like the atmosphere here Ron.
A Lovely atmospheric image Ron and a lovely presentation.
Many thanks for the c/c's, great debate about contrast. I felt it had enough for my requirements, but all photographers have their own style. Ron.
The subject lends itself to the soft subtle tones Ron.

Like it... great atmosphere
A wonderful atmospheric shot Ron; I love the shadows in the mist
