I think it would be a belter if it was given more contrast, particularly the animal on the left.

Yep needs contrast, but it's hard to beat the golden light when it becomes grey.

I agree with the comments re contrast, but as an e2 member why 600 px, when you can go to 1000? The loss in quality with something as subtle as this would have been quite a bit. I would also have lost the subject far right just cutting into the frame.

Love the crop, it exaggerates the tension and contrasts between the two sides. I'm not sure that I want to see more tension, this conveys the light perfectly for me.
