I try to vary the subjects as much as possible so this image was taken in Tanzania. Three-banded Plover. A little larger than Kittlitz's Plover and with two distinctive black bands, separated by a white band, across the chest. The forehead is white, the throat grey. and a white line extends from the forehead to behind the nape.The large red ring around each eye. and the black-tipped red bill are conspicuous.This is as taken with no manipulation in Photoshop..jACK
