This is a nice shot, you caught the raindrops nicley. Next time you should use a background (plywood or card or something) to show the flowers off better.

Hello, Stewart. Nice detail, colour and lovely droplets. You've taken the trouble to get the whole of the cluster in focus and also inside the frame, except for the tiny tip of the bottom stamen, which is a shame. Although the background is fussy, you have got it blurred sufficiently for your chosen blooms to stand out. I agree with Scott about setting up your background. It all depends on how natural you want your image to look. Sometimes it's necessary to hold the card in one hand and take a one-handed close-up, but practice makes perfect, and the result can be worthwhile. Another good method is a piece of material and a few pegs, things that won't take up too much room in your camera bag. Drape the material behind your chosen blooms and peg it onto some background stems. I find green can look pretty natural.
Pamela.
