Following a few hours torrential rain the storm clouds parted above Loch Garry in a dramatic lightshow and cloudscape. It felt like it just had to be a mono. Thanks for looking.

fantastic cloudscape over a stunning landscape.
I like this even better than many of your excellent colour shots!
Amazing, Alun. Made for mono. The lighting and sky is superb.

fantastic mono..best I've seen for a while for sure...tone & light are as near perfect as I can imagine...........
Award given.
Gareth.
Thanks all. This was a totally unplanned shot and I was lucky to find a place to pull off the road at the key moment. I must admit to some concerns about the featureless immediate foreground but hoped that the dramatic clouds, crepuscular rays and hazy mountains would compensate.
Thanks to Bruffy for the GEA and to Gareth for the UA - really appreciate it.

They don't come much more dramatic than this Alun, the sky is worthy of a shot on its own, definitely suits the mono treatment too, great stuff.

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I'm glad the drama of the clouds and light have been conveyed in this mono. I don't do that much mono work but always enjoy having a go.
