Found these in an abandoned orchard in the crook of a big branch. The front one has obviously attracted the attention of some birds, and the back one has shrunken and turned black.

Wonderful still life/memento mori. The background tones and textures, and particularly the blackened fruit, are excellent.
Moira
A lovely mixture of colours, textures and shapes.
Excellent shot. Annette
Rende you seem to create pictures out of things most of us pass by. Well done.
Albert
The early photographer gets the apple shot, nice ,, Chuck
Another take on the decay theme, Rende. I'm still on the rust phase !!
Dave
There are some well-saturated colours here Rende, as well as some great shadow detail. An excellent exposure...

Excellent still-life, Rende. The apples are so alive, the colours are outstanding.
Amazing that we refer to still life : language is so contrary!
(At a university translation class in France many years ago we were warned not to translate Lebensgefahr as Danger de vie...)
Strange that I missed this earlier: it must have been all the private messaging ![]()
