tried an upright composition and slow shutter speed 1/30
sec elongated the rain drops.

Good capture Kieran. Personally a shutter speed of 1/30th second is too slow really. Anything above 1/60th second is alright. But with that shutter speed I like the way you have captured the rain like that. Well done

Its worth quite well for such a slow shutter speed, - presume you had a solid support.

You could sharpen it overall a little more before you upload, - it loses detail when you re size for the web.
