Two peony roses from Culzean Castle's walled garden from my 21st. June visit.
The backgrounds were distracting and I removed them in Photoshop.
Detail for V 1: ISO 200, 1/160 sec. at f/ 18.0 with Exp. Bias of -0.33, hand held.
Many thanks to all who voted for and commented on my last posting "Wildeve" 2. Your attention is much appreciated.
Good morning Ronnie, whata gorgeous pair of images, fabulous colours and detail, for me it has to be v1, though both are quite beautiful.
Stunning shot Number one for me.
V1 for me, tonight, Ronnie, with that beautiful gold & red center column of the lustrous & detailed white flower. Beautiful work, & wishing You a nice Weekend. Regards...Peter
good morning ronnie
two stunners here fantastic detail wonderful colour and light v1 for me tonight but only just nice one
Two beautiful images Ronnie, I have a slight preference for v1
Two perfect shots.
what a excellent duo, fantastic colour and detail ronnie
Thank you Hugh, Don, Peter, Andy, Ed, Rob and Neil for your early morning comments. I myself prefer V 1.....as a bit more oooomph to it, but I thought I'd just add V 2 to see what you all thought.
Hi Ronnie, ~ Yet another cracker.
Is the background as per shot or post processing?
Have a great weekend
Good exposure Ronnie with the ''pristine'' white !!
Nice soft shadows too.Think I prefer V2 for the limited pallete of colour.Good contrast with only the black and white !!
Good morning, Doc.
The b/g was darkish but had bits of dead white flowers here and there and I felt this bloom stood better with these distractions edited out.
The exposure is spot on in both and a lovely splash of colour in V1. - gary
Wow - absolutely gorgeous (both images) My kind of pic.
Brilliant--- I love the white --So well done!
Two beautiful images, Roy, perfect exposure and detail. Carol
Two beauties very nicely captured - definitely v1 is the best IMHO
Both are beautiful. Great capture of whites! My favourite is, like your own, V1. Something extra special about single Peonies and their inner beauty!
Beautiful pair of well exposed shots.
the white detail is superbly captured in both images, spot on for detail and colour. I love the frilly petal detail of v2 and the splash of central colour in v1. Two very nice images woth a vote each.
I like paeon 1 the most as it shows the yellow
Very nice couple of shots Ronnie. Very Sharp too.
Morning Ronnie - two superb shots, both wonderful, love V1
Two super images Ronnie, good work on the back grounds.
2 top shots against that b/g they stand out so well
Good Afternoon Ronnie. Both great and the whites are not blown at all still good texture V1 gets it because of the splash of colour click
Superb whites and wonderful detailed colour too, marvellous work here Ronnie top drawer.
Excellent Ronnie. Very well done
Good detail and texture in both
Superb Ronnie,incredible detail !!
2 wonderful images
Two cracking captures, Ronnie, but it has to be V1 as my fave, just love that splash of colour amidst the white petals.
So pretty and perfect against the
jet black b/g.
So beautiful Ronnie and deservedly popular - Stunning detail and composition. Well done.
You've caught the 'whiteness' of the petals so perfectly!

Excellent detail with great texture.
Beautifully lit, captured and presented Ronnie

Ronnie Terrific images -- as are your other florals I have just been looking at. regards John
Great detail/textures in this one Ronnie, love it against the black b/g, very very nice indeed.
2 real beauties, glad you stayed with us
I like the way you casually say 'the bg's were a distraction so I removed them in PS' - I have no idea how to do that!
You chose to shoot the most difficult floral subject, i.e. white flowers, but of course, you managed it brilliantly, as these two shots show, like most others, my preference is for V1, but as others have said, only just!
