I think that this is one of those shots which rely on timing. Had you take this shot 1 second earlier you might have had all face on it. I am a big believer in cropping when ever you can. Having said that I do like the composition you can tell that at least one of them is having fun. I think I would perhaps add a little saturation just to bring the colours out a bit more.

As has been said, the timing's slightly off although I doubt that you could have done much about that.
It's a bit flat and in need of a lift. I've increased the overall saturation and pushed the yellow in particular since that seems to be the predominant colour.
Those clouds look promising too, not for a day out necessarily (!), but from a photographic point of view they're got potential.

Edit; with hindsight, and we've all got a degree in that, I think I should have darkened the shadows a touch.
