I loved the patterns in the water surrounding this immature swan whilst he was foraging for food.
An excellent capture
lovely animals so mute but powerful
Excellent - nearly abstract. A
Very effective indeed, Barbs.
brilliant detail barbara wonderfull tones love the water a cacker nice one
If you have photoshop Barbs have you ever tried shadows/highlights this question is not meant to offend but your image appears a little dark on my screen - having said this I do like the abstract with the swan included. I just tried the shadows thing on my pc with your picture you would be amazed at the difference - another epz member made me aware some weeks back and I use the shadows tool a lot now and very pleased with the result it gives, dunno why I never found it before.
Fine close up shot, great detail!
Beautiful detail Barbs, love the pattens in the water too
Yes the water is lovely but I think pluckyfilly has given you some good advice. I always think curves helps too.
Its a lovely image and its what we would call "A Mucky Duck" well caught.
The curves of the neck are part of the abstract swirls, interesting.
Like the curve of the neck against the water patterns. Well seen Barbara.
Agreat shot Barbara great swirls and comp.
Beautiful shot young one, thanks for the pm,
Well done Barbara, you have captured some nice detail here, a little dark but as has been mentioned, highlights and shadows would improve it,
A super capture.
Hi Barb, these are wonderful birds to photograph, they don't tend to fly off as soon as you get close. As Richard says the curve of the neck against the water is very nice.
Do you shoot in NEF format (RAW) ? if not give it a whirl as it will get you out of all types of problems.
Brilliant shot Barbara, superb detail and I love the composition, beautifully captured.
The shadow/highlight tool would work well, there is also another tool--- IMAGE.adjustments.brightness/contrast in PS that would alter this image enough to bring out highlights and lighten it----- HOwever, I like the tones and details as it is, maybe just a tad dark--
fantastic composition and textures!
A fine image, Barbs, wonderful water movement, well captured. Carol
A super capture, Barbs. Yes, maybe a little dark in the shadows, but you've captured some lovely detail and textures, which must be seen large to appreciate.
Sorry Barbara! Meant to comment on this earlier but my internet went walkabout!
A great shot, lovely detail!
Lovely image!Simply beautiful.
great capture, good detail
Yes you are right Barbara. They are lovely patterns.
Lovely black water abstract created by the swan.
Great picture, I suspect the water patterns would not work so well lighter, but that is all subjective anyway.
You certainly have some lovely movement in this Barbara, a good shot
Wonderful water movement, Barbara, fabulous details on the swan, a cracking image.
A lovely shot Barbara - full of interesting patterns and ripples.
Lovely close up, beautiful stuff, I liked it
Beautiful shot.well done.
I like those drained colours in your picture here.
Make it look somber and eerie.
Interesting shot! Well taken.
