hey - I remember this view from when I used to sail this area as a kid. Brings back some memories!

Excellent capture. Very nice colours and reflections. The glow of the horizon and the added bonus - faint but clearly visible - of what I take is probably venus in the sky make it a very interesting image to look at.

Hello, Patrick. Love the colours in this, the graduated sky, and the reflections. I also quite like that bench, especially the ornate decoration. There is quite a dark area bottom left, but the eye is taken along the diagonal of the bench. So I am a bit torn here. The image would look great without it, but you obviously chose to include it. However, I think that I would have made more of a feature of the bench in a separate image, using more of it. In my first modification, I have simply desaturated the golden colour of the bench a little. In the second one, I went over it with the burn tool to darken it. In the third, I cropped to make it less prominent. Just a few options .

Hi Patrick
I will agree with Pamelajean that I like the bench in the foreground. The decor of it make it pleasant up from with a beautiful BG of color and light. The scene and lighting are incredible. I liked PJ modified versions but really like what you had first presented. The question you need to ask yourself is "what am I trying to convey to my viewer" I think you did that and it turned out great. This photo actually deserves much more positive attention in my book!
Nice work!
Thomas

This is a very competent night shot - perfectly exposed, sharp and no flare. Excellent. Just a figure, bottom right, looking into the scene for perfection.
