Bought for £2.00 in a garden centre sale in early January, this Amaryllis has just flowered in the last two days.
My thanks to all who visited the Canine Capers Sequence and for the comments left.
Ronnie.

Glorious flower Ronnie, very expertly captured.
Regards
Trev.
a stunning flower. You have captured the whites and all those hair fine streaks so well. I like the inclusion of the 'backside' with all the fine pastel echo of the main flower.
Lovely flower, skillfully photographed with all detail spot on!

A quality image Ronnie and wonderful presentation.
What a beauty and a bargain at just £2.

I agree with the others - £2 well spent.
The colours are a delight and you have achieved front to back sharpness. The inclusion of the rear of the second flower adds interest and has resulted in a very pleasing composition. Well presented as always.
My wife received some flowers recently (not from me) and I had a go at photographing some of them. The experience has brought home how much technique and patience is involved.

A particularly attractive specimen, Ronnie, beautifully photographed and presented.
Great composition.. Love the candy stripes of the flowers which stand out beautifully against the black b/g..top class Ronnie
a most delightful shot - love the colours and stripes
As David Dickenson would say "a real bobbydazzler", it looks like you got a real bargain
