Christmas 2005 I was given this amaryllis bulb. It wasn't until I was searching in the loft for decorations for this Christmas, that I realised that the poor amaryllis bulb had been accidently filed with other decorations and had been sitting in my loft for 12 months, dry as a bone. I really did feel quite guilty and began to water and care for it immediately. Much to my surprise some seven weeks later it produced these beautiful flowers. Nature is so patient and so very rewarding, I was thrilled to bits and felt I must share it with you.

What a beautiful colour and you've really done it justice here. I was feeling sorry for a bulb !!?? You nearly had me BLUBbing...
