This is a photo of a neighborhood cat, asleep on a boulder that makes up an old dried out pond in my yard. One of my first pictures that I've taken, so it's not perfect. An critique would be wonderful, as long as it isn't cruel. Thanks everyone!

The domestic tiger. A charming and well composed image. TG

Hi Lexi, welcome to EPZ! Smile

A lovely initial upload, I'm sure the cat is smiling! You've caught him well, he's in the shade but you've still managed to get all his details brilliantly sharp.

I may have lifted the camera just a little - this would have taken him off the center line and given the image more greenery and less 'rubble'. But that is just a personal thing and probably just me! Smile

Cruel - we wouldn't dare!! WinkGrin

nicely framed shot..a little playing with curves and contrast would bring out his lovely stripes...but a great start Smile

Thank you for the welcome! I'm glad to be here!

And yes, i think lifting the camera may have helped. It certainly would have brought in more colors and made the image appear more vibrant. Thank you for the advice!

Hm. I do think that would help, wouldn't it? I may play around with that a bit, just to see what I can get! Thank you!
