I've had my eye on this alley behind a betting shop for a while, for some reason it appealed to me (photographically speaking, of course). So today I stood in the mouth of the alley taking my shot, and it took me a while because I couldn't decide whether to include the big red bins just to my right.
Anyway, when I finally finished I turned around and this fella was waiting very patiently in his car to turn into the alley and park. I hung around for him to get out of his car so I could apologise and he said it was no problem, and asked if I was taking photos as a hobby. Well, obviously, after yesterday's success I couldn't let this chance slip away, so I told him I was and asked if I could take his photo too. And I could.

Nicely balanced, a sort of diptych in a way. (I do like the dustbin, as well as the portrait).
There's an open, generous feel to the portrait, instant rapport with a stranger is to be treasured.
