A cleat on a deck at the Viverone lake in Piedmont, Italy. Taken last Sunday at sunset. Your C&C are as always welcome, thanks for your time.
Excellent image, so serene, what was the exposure for this. David
Simple yet dramatic. Very, very good, Paolo.
Yes, it's a strong image and very enjoyable viewing.
Thanks David and Julian for your comment. David, this is a composite of two images: exposure was 2" for the water and 30" for the sky.
Minimalistic and very effective!

Fantastic capture Paola, saw it on Photo.net first and it blew me away! Quite brilliant in its simplicity..
What a brilliant image, gives the water an almost silky feeling, with excellent detail captured in the deck and cleat.
Great image - one of the best I have seen for ages. Carole
Nothing less than brilliant
I love the subtle movement in the clouds and the textured water next to the solid deck. The positioning of the cleat makes a bold statement offset by the softness of the seascape.
