I remember a similar feeling on Offa's Dyke - the strength of a historic landscape. Excellent, evocative.

Thanks for all the great contirbutions left on this one, although when I look at it, it's hard to believe, but I've actually done very little in the way of processing, except to increase the contrast slightly. I only say this, in case people imagine that I've fanargled with the sky... Thanks again everyone... Dave
