Running across the top of the Quantock Hills in Somerset, there are a number of ancient trackways. I love to visit these and spend time trying to sort my head out in the peace and quiet. It's exactly a year ago today that I joined EPZ, and I'd like to thank everyone who has given support to my images and helped me get back on track when I have strayed. Many thanks...

Love the tones and also the way the wind has 'sculpted' these trees, great picture .

Hi Old Timer Wink a whole year. I am a few weeks behind you, doesn't time fly. Just had a look through your pf, great collection and really good variety which is always nice to see. I look forward to your second year.

Nice shot this by the way. Love your use of diagonals.

Regards,

Derek

Happy EPZ birthday Dave, and you've marked it with a fine shot.

I like your composition and processing on this shot, and especially the gnarled tree trunks and branches overhanging the track. You just need a ghostly highywayman and you've got it made.

Dave.

I seem to remember this scene from a previous upload , Dave, but the special treatment gives it a really different feel. It's like the mystical path to Glastonbury Tor. Now there's an idea for a bit of your p/s jiggery-pokery !!

Thanks Dave, but it's actually the mystical path to the Triscombe Stone, which when you get to it, is really rather disappointing - but the journey is full of surprises. I did post this before, but I was not happy with the result, so have re-worked the RAW file and feel that it's much tidier now. Thanks Dave, all the best

Dave

P.S. 'jiggery-pokery' have you been talking to DaveU?

This is a brilliant image David. The detail is wonderful and I like the way the path cuts a diagonal line across the picture.

Looks lovely here, but not the sort of place to be on a dark night, with the wind blowing and all manner of ghosties and ghoulies abroad.
