This was Portland Bill Lighthouse this afternoon!
even the seaweed to be seen in the huge wave and sea mist
So much adrenalin going
spent exhilarating time with Bob, Jenni and Bob Jenni's husband..thanks
fantastic time ..no sunsets/sunrises..but a powerful sea
Ruth and Val were with us Yesterday

Please remember I am no Landscape photographer!!

My Thanks go to Harriet, Malcolm, Phil, Netta, Cal, Steve, Hugh and Ryan for the UA's yesterday

Thanks for advice...here's the pano...rather big thoughWink

V2 before the wave hit

Thanks everyone..Hope to catch up tomorrow...as exhausted
Hand Held..as winds too strong, and 60D camera, as was getting wetWink..not my 5D markiii

V1 is my fave, and would benefit from a pano crop - think the f/g rocks are unnecessary and a tad distracting.
But, hey: what do I know!! Wink

Great timing Lillian, I'm sorry to hear you didn't get your sunrise or sunset though, maybe next time when the weather is better?

I think Bill's suggestion of a letterbox crop from the bottom (where the shore meets the sea at the left edge of the image) would work very well. A great step into Landscapes.

Just about perfect timing Lillian. V1 for me please. I do think, on a second look, that there is some merit in the suggestion of a letterbox crop. Taking out the rocks and beach area would in crease the impact of the wave enormously.GrinGrin
Just my thought and in no way intended as a criticism.

The letterbox crop is a good idea but that doesn't take away the fact that these are already excellent images. I know you are not a landscape photographer, but these are Seascapes and it looks like you are pretty good at them!
