V2 shows the wider view and looking down from the footbridge.

They don't make adverts like that any more. Or railway stations. More's the pity. Thanks for a very gentle stroll down Memory Lane.
Moira
well spotted and in blend really in like you say.
you have got wonderful railway stations... here the style is more influenced by containers ![]()
These old metal signs bring back so many memories from shall we say my formative years, and make such excellent studies now with the general weathering that has taken place over the decades.
I particularly like the close-up in V 1 where the fresh new vegetation acts in contrast with the old advent sign.
Ronnie.
i love the ols signs ... and the memories that come with them
V1 is my favourite today
can be very refreshing some days i still have a glass with very cold water and one tea spoon of the salts ....i remember this sigh so well the old signs have so so much more character

Two excellent shots Trevor, great processing, V2 for me..
Regards
Steve...
Gently and genteel-ly decaying, these old signs are so visually rewarding especially when integrated into a pleasing background. Well-seen and composed, a delightful image. I like the perspective of V2, too.
Regards
Bill
Love Both Trev, V1 is my choice not for photographic reasons but for the memories it brings back.
Regards
Trev.
Hi Trevor, Goathland and the ride on the Steam Trains is one of my favourite places. I sat on that seat last year..
Pickering station has some good signs too. I think I photographed one for Virol.. Hope you are well.
Ruth
Love V1 for its Metal advertising poster - so evocative.
