This is a local farmer, Andy Jeffery. He runs a 400 acre farm with his wife Tish. The farm provides organic produce that is also supporting local enterprise. They buy from as many local farmers and small, specialist suppliers as possible which they sell in their own farm shop Farrington's in Somerset UK.
Andy is pictured here with some of his potatoes. Andy and Tish also regularly host educational visits, they aim to educate children and have an outdoor classroom and provide Trailer rides around the farm.
Andy has also dedicated 10 acres of the farm to woodland, which also helps support the wildlife that enables him to keep the bugs off of his organic vegetables.
With the dominance of large supermarkets I think Andy is a great bloke to have in our community, giving us all the choice and something a little bit special.

A very good shot indeed. A crime that its not getting more votes.

Quote: An excellent portrait with what looks like tricky lighting conditions. Deserves more praise than it is actually receiving.
Well put, this is a gem, and lighting is amazing.
Is it just one flash off the camera left and a reflector camera right or is it more complex?
Thanks Jack.

Good guess, Setup was a sb28 modded in a 28 softbox up high camera left, no other reflectors or mods just the one flash. I think I got a bit lucky and the subtle rimlight is just the sun breaking through the clouds.
Cheers,
Andy.
