I've been promising myself I'd photograph the Angel of the North for some time... When the weather / sky is right. We've just had a weekend with bright blue skys, so siezed the opportunity.

As a consequence of the lovely weather, it was difficult to get a shot without random people in random parts of the shot. I've pano-cropped this partly for that reason (sorry peoples), but also beacause I think it's right for the shot itself. For me, the solitary guy's position and stance look good and give a sense of scale.

There's a mono and a colour pop version too.

All comments and critique welcome. Thanks.
Brian

It has taken me a long time to like this, but now I do. The comparison in the size of the young man and the angel is well done.

It looks easy but I know it's a hard shot due to confine space and people you have manage with a great sky in the background really showing of the rust colour and the man at the bottom really gives a great sence of scale. I like all three but V1 best.
John.

An excellent composition with the Angel of the North against this blue sky! I love V1.
