I have come across this bloke looking for "Cow Pies" before!!! The light looks lovely!
The shadow isn't Sherlock Holmes, is it? (he,he,he) Click
Good composition and detail.
Nice title, that Roger Waters?? heheh
Like it. Something original. What IS that bulge at the front though?
Thanks Sam, Jules, Nancy, Lucien, Su and Ian. Good to have your comments.
The bulge is my arm Ian.
Eric, how do you find your Sigma 18-50 lens? I recently got a 300D, but being new to SLR's, I just went with the kit lens. I hear people on here and elsewhere saying it's not up to much, and people like yourself seem to have the Sigma.
Sorry to contact you like this, you can email me ianatansteydotcom if you don't mind.
well done for so many comments! And always decent, constructive comments too.
Another unusual image well spotted Eric, I like. Clicked
Thanks Stu, glad to hear that you like it.
Ian, my choice of lens was dictated by my pocket. Considering the useful zoom range, it's not too bad a lens, although it's unforgiving as regards sharpness. It appears to work best in ideal conditions, but that goes for all lenses. I never found a lens I really liked, because I often want the impossible. On the 300D it is sharpest when flash is used from about 4 feet or so. For the money, I'd say it's a bargain. If you don't push it beyond it's limits (which I often do) it will do a wide range of subjects reasonably well.
This makes a great capture I love the use of the shadow on the bricks such a good contrast
Novel shot Eric. Good colour in those bricks, nicely captured.
Thanks Cornelia, Charlotte and Will, good to hear your opinions.
The first thing I thought of on seeing the thumb, Eric, was Sherlock Holmes I like the bright colour and texture of the brick.
Very good shadow image I like it very much.
Another shadow on a brickwall. Excellent shot well done.
Lovely shadow detail and lighting.
well done this is natural lighting well composed sandyb
This is great, Eric. One of the many good things that can be said about your images is that they are never predictable! You have a superb eye for the unusual but photogenic.
Thanks for stopping by to view and comment Jim, Gemma, Antonio, Pauline, Sandyb and Ian.
Eric. Should this be called 'another bun in the oven!!' Well taken. click. John
Is that your nose, sticking out, Eric?
Quiet a belly too. lol
Lol, thanks John and Jan.
Thanks Eric. Money is a factor of course. Having got a 300D at a price I thought was too good to refuse (500 inc kit lens and 256 flashcard) I'll now no doubt start accessorising!
That's a great price, Ian, I hope it serves you well.
Great shadow shot Eric, what are you smokin' Eric?!lol. Good light and detail.
Lol, that's the camera strap Mary. Glad you like it.
Wow, I am glad someone said what it was, I was sure looking for words to describe what it looked like and camera strap was not one of them! Brilliant shot and capture!!! Spot on! Click!!!
Thanks for stopping by to view and comment Greg.
I really like this Eric - iot makes you think!
Glad you picked up on that Chris, cheers.
I keep coming back to this shot Eric. I'm not sure I "like" it but I sure admire it. It feels as if it ought to be under Photo-journalism. Thinking back to the song and looking at the image it feels like a powerful societal comment to me.
One of your most thought provoking shots for some time
Strong, colourful, and eyecatching, I like it, good capture.
Thanks for stopping by to view and comment Brian and Brian. Great to hear from you both.
Eric it reminded me of Desperate Dan lol. John
