Another Barcelona pic tonight - it was going to be more dead beasties but thought I'd chop and change until I run out of nice pics from my holiday.

I love the clean clear lines and the delicate spotting of leaves in the sky.
Very creative control with the fisheye to make a captivating shot, like it. The thumbnail had to be opened.
Must admit I was getting worried as I'd noticed all pics of your trip so far had been with a P&S. I couldn't believe you had gone there and not taken the DSLR! ![]()
Thanks everyone - the fisheye was great in the narrow alleys - you could stand on one side of the road and have the rooftop behind you in the picture - I'll find an example over the weekend ![]()
Indeed I did have a P&S with me too - I've borrowed one from my sister and it's producing some nice images - plus it's considerably smaller than my other smallish P&S so a treat to carry about. I never go anywhere of consequence without the DSLR however!
Thanks again everyone
Barcelona is such a pretty city that there are lovely alleys tucked away everywhere!
I suspect that because the trees are all bent and bendy anyway they make the fisheye effect less obvious - which is not a bad thing. I do love the fisheye distortion however and tend to emphasise it much of the time ![]()
I'm not a great fan of street/architecture.....but this shot I find fascinating !.....there's a tremendous depth to the image, but it's the distortion from the lens that really appeals, & combined
with those 'bendy' trees makes for a great shot....certainly knocks spots off yer average tourist-snap !!!!!
Actually, it's the first time I've seen a shot taken with a frame-filling fisheye lens, & it certainly has my brain doing 'twirls'.....mmmmm, I wonder.....?
The second thought I had, especially looking at your street scene.....it must be difficult keeping your feet out of the shot, if you held the camera normally ????
Oh there's so much wonderful architecture there that it's hard to make progress anywhere for the constant need to stand and stare
I'm sure the locals don't even notice it anymore but for a newbie it was total heaven
I do quite a bit of street stuff but it's very rare that any of it is good enough to show anyone¬
I've just checked the original shot and my feet don't show though they have on many other shots taken since I bought it. I did however trim a bit from the bottom of this one - I'll pop the original one up for you to see. That lens is definitely a goodie ![]()
Two nice images! I prefer the second.....it's more atmospheric! Lovely!
Cheers
Phil
That's why we have photoshop! ![]()
It's fun to fiddle with our images.....to get different results and effects! ![]()
Good one!

Great use of a fish eye lens. For me, the perspective is spot on!![]()

True - sometimes I fiddle a bit too much though ![]()
That fishy is good though - best bit of cash I've spent in a long while
Now I want a new body - camera that is ![]()
