Fantastic image and well timed.
We go to Aviemore every year and I've yet to see
one of these magnificent birds.

The site is a fishery. The trout are there mainly for the anglers. In the last couple of years they have built a pond specifically for the osprey and photographers.

It is working of sorts, but not guaranteed. On one morning there were 14 dives with 7 fish taken, but on another there were just 2 dives with 1 fish taken and that was not until about 9:15 having been in the hide since 4:30.

If you want to visit look up Rothiemurchus fishery and photography.

The location is the same as where Lee Fisher and I took shots a couple of years back, but the pool is now much smaller meaning that if it comes in you have a much better chance.

All that time in a blind and still no guarantees. Great results this time. TG
