A different viewpoint of Durham Miners' Gala (or Durham Big Meeting, as the locals call it). I was fascinated by the reflections in the musical instruments and took this shot. It wasn't until I downloaded it onto my computer that I noticed all the detail that had been captured. If you look deeply into the shot you will see the band (obviously), the crowds behind (I'm in there somewhere!) and also, in the distance, Durham Cathedral. I have minimised the colours in the background to enable the eye to concentrate on the reflection. I did toy with the idea of blurring out the face to the left but decided, rightly or wrongly, that it gave the image balance.

Thanks for your comments yesterday, I sure Ed would have been delighted!

Carol

Yes that is good Carol. You have managed to get so much in.

Carol You mentioned one of my pics being at the Fuse in Prudhoe....What and where is the Fuse? I haven't been posting or commenting as we are moving house tomorrow and at the moment I have lost the Will to live.
