A charming seaside scene, pleasant soft colors.
A lovely view of part of Anstruther's charm.
A moody sky and good f/g detail.
Hope you had a good fish tea when you were there.
Made me think of one of Jane Austen's heroines, who went back to her family's home in Portsmouth, I think. Very pretty picture, I like the sky very much. May I ask what is the "humour/fun" side of the image? Maybe I can't get because it too local or it is a cultural thing.
if you had been there a couple of days earlier you would have bumped into me
Superb scene, I really, really like the colour and composition, the sky looks as though it is beginning to brood, I should image this is a very bleak little village in winter time.
Wow...like a painting....such a beautiful image, love the red door and the clouds...wonderful capture...love it
Nice one, Rod. Looks like a water-colour painting. Really like the composition. And the horizon.
This could be a painting on a wall in some larney's castle A very special quality to this image

see they've taken the wshing in!!!
fine shot...would probably make a good pair with `scrimmy's' mono
Marian , nothing like that. I was anticipating mair horizon banter Thankfully thats no happened lol Cheers
Busy little place isn't it? The workmen gone for breakfast already!! Lovely water colour effect.
That's a canae shot Rod and nice tae see somethin that's no the usual tourist shot o the herbor. Pity it wisnae a sunny day as N'ster really looks good wi the white hoosies an the blue sky.
Crafty move pitin the council blue bin near the center an a good choice o location means the hoosies mask any potential horizon issues
Nae doot that issue will raise its ugly heid again Cheers folks
So serene, I like the wonderful pastel colours most.
A great image Rod, muted colours work here
I really liked the processing: Nicely composed shot.
A very pleasing scene here Rod place is empty did they Ken ye were coming dae they know something we don't?.... love the lone seagull joking aside very pleasing

Hi, Rod, I really like this image, it has real atmosphere, muted colours and a dramatic sky, nice work.
That has a lovely 'artistic' feel to it.

so you think I'm not watching.
A beautifully captured scene Rod,
and especially like the natural soft light captured here
this is a great image..................lead in lines, beautiful saturation, perspective and composition.............this is one of your best. i love it. 10/10
ps. you have no right to produce an image as good as this.
Cheers Phil , really . Am a bit flabbergasted
Apart from the TV aerials and what looks like a wheelie bin, there is a sort of timeless feel to this image, certainly helped by what looks like a retro toning across the frame.
Remember Anstruther well from the days (back in the 1950s) when he holidayed yearly at Lower Largo.
Cheers Ronnie Its probably not changed much since then
I love the pastel arty look, just up my street,
