Thank you Nathan and indeed it is thought evoking. 23,000 young Americans became forever young on September 17, 1862. This battle became the single bloodiest day of our nations history. By the time the four awful years were mercifully over, 600,000 young men from both sides would join the ranks of the fallen. When I think of it, I can scarcely believe we survived as a nation and can only credit Providence. Thanks again for your kind and thoughtful words.
