Thanks everyone for the support with yesterdays image, more work was required! So I've taken a lot more time over this one.

Taken on the 18th January 2006 at 11:54
This is my second attempt at the peacock. I processed it in Rawshooter, then in Photoshop. I've cloned out the "red thing", which I think is some kind of first aid box. I've removed all the noise I could from the background, leaving more bandwidth for the detail in the feathers. Ive done some selective sharpening on the bird. Cropped some dead space from the top and then added a border. Can't wait to get a photo of one of these creatures in spring.

All comments very much appreciated.

Have a good weekend.

Beautiful colours and detail, might have cropped the top a little as the blurred line is a little dsstracting.

This is a great shot the detail on the bird is excellent. Clearly you have worked hard on it and the original is worth the work. Would it look any better if the blue b/g at the top was clonded out for more green? Would the bird show up even better?

Better Alan, focus is spot on and detail is sharp. DOF is spot on. Like the suggestion of replacing the blue background
