Location: Cummingstown, Moray, Scotland.

Day 27 of my palaentology vigil. Despite a long week and little to eat but seaweed I feel sure hatching day is imminent. No sign of the parents yet.. Wait a minute it twitched!!

Beautiful observation Ian, the colour of the weed on the stone is so special and a great pebble even without it. We often miss the detail in the scene our eyes are set to the horizon and see the grand view, not looking down other than to check our footing.
