You've captured him pretty well.

His face and eyes are nicely focused and that focus drops away, equally nicely, into the background.
The squirrel's a bit central in the frame and it's a bit dark so I've uploaded a mod. in which I've made a small adjustment in levels (mid tones), another using the shadow/highlight tool to suit, pushed the contrast a bit, and used "auto tone" (it's easier than playing around with colour balance and sometimes works quite well) and finally cropped the top and RHS to shift him from the centre and closer to a third.

Hope it's OK.

Bren.

Edit. Sorry Julie, This is the second of your images on which I've commented and I've just realised that you've only just joined us!
Welcome to Epz. and particularly the critique gallery. You'll find we're a lovable bunch and your work will receive honest, worthwhile appraisal.

Good luck!
