Taken on one of my Tours to Luxor in August 2004. This statue is in the Luxor Museum, well worth a visit if you get the chance. This is my favourite statue in the whole of Egypt, I find I'm drawn to it. hope you like it too. glen x

Good shot - I am a big fan of Arkenahten myself - I was drawn to a small statue of him in a shop near the valley of the kings which I purchased at the time. I didn't know who he was at the time but when I got home I read quite a lot about him - I like people who go against the grain and in some ways I think he was probably one of the first hippies with a very big ego. The egyptian artwork from his time is amazingly fascinating.
