...across Loch Stack in Sutherland.
whoah!!! now that is dramatic
It doesn't look like a racehorse to me but i'll take your word for it.
A dramatic Scene Dougie but a special one. Nice to have you back and into the routine.
The Horses were named after these mountains Danny, Foinavon is just around the corner a few miles North.
Nice to see you back, Dougie, after your trip up north, and with a fine barren scree covered hillside: guess even on a sunny day the bleakness of this bare mountainside would remain, but it would remain imposing.
Bleak but very dramatic Dougie. Is that a wee bridge I see in the middle of the water? I am just looking at the trees and thinking how large that mountain is. Trust you had a great trip? Moira
Tremendous Moira, yes the bridge looks to be linked with an old causeway, but I', not sure, the is angling country so maybe to let boats pass underneath.
A fine shot of this wonderful hill - I must look out this spot and that bridge. It looks interesting... Welcome back (again!)
Beautiful cloud topped mountains. A wonderful site.......Sandy
Lovely mellow light, tones and colours Dougie.
You've captured some fine details in the scree in this view of Arkle.
I think I will have a look for this bridge next time I go up there.
Oh aye, now it is clear to me, why Runrig praises the sight of the Arkle. Very imposing mountain. I like the shape of those pines and.... ermh.... is that a bridge in the middle of the water???
Lovely composed image. Thanks my friend for taking me up north. Oh, how I need to have a walk, I'm craving for fresh air and wonderful sights.
Good to have you back!
I got some strange looks from the sheep when I was calling your name Johanna.
Majestic with the waveformed shapes
Good to see you back and posting Dougie and This a grand shot to set you off again
A very lovely presented composition, may I say you are very lucky to have been able to have traveled to so many places and locations around our country. At times nowadays people find it to easy to jump on a plane and head to the sun, that we forget what's realy on our doorstep. I very much enjoy poping in and out of your p/f having a look.
Scale can be a difficult thing to get over in a photograph so its good to see you've managed it here by the use of a telephoto lens. The tree helps of course and I think it helps anchor the image. Really nice shot, Dougie.
A really strong composition that showcases the glorious light on the mountains slopes. Back with a bang Dougie.
