Good day to you all at ePz
Firstly I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful messages and words of comfort which I have received over the last few days.
Secondly thank you all so very much for the great comments and votes following my 'Wagtail' uploads yesterday.
Todays upload was captured from the opposite side of the Thames Estuary, however you can still see Kingsnorth Power Station on the Isle of Grain in the distance.
I hope that you all have a great day ahead, for me its a Bowling Match.
Regards as always Nathan
That Canon Ixus and your expertise get a great image Nathan.
The bluntness and bleakness of this image certainly brings my mind to the issues of environment.. I dont know if it is really connected to it or not.. I love the dark toning, which bestows it higher importance..
Love the tones and the comp in this Nathan.
I find this a special image, Nathan. The viewpoint gives a great image and I like the toning and that boat a lot. Enjoy tour bowling!
Striking image, nice work.
You've made the most of this unusual view, Nathan.
Enjoy the bowling Nathan, another special image that you have created, Keep well dear friend. Best wishes Patricia
Nathan, Great composition and texture, leads the eye through the scene to the distant shoreline. The mono treatment really brings out the texture.
I love the patterns in the foreground Nathan. Have a great day at your Bowling Match....for me it's flower photography in my conservatory - too cold and miserable to venture outside (I'm a wimp)
The water channels through the mud flats make for an interesting shot, and the power station in the distance sets the location very nicely.
Great foreground shapes Nathan - and the toning works well.
Enjoy your Bowling match
great mono image, love the patterns and textures, with the well placed boat
very impressive shot my friend looks great in mono
Perfectly crafted, atmospheric image , Nathan.
Beautifully worked image Nathan. Superb. Peter.
Wonderful patterns created in the sand, Nathan, well captured. Have a great match, I have the feeling you are onto a winner today Carol
Excellent in sepia Nathan, broad view.
A terrific shot;
enjoy the bowling match.
A great wide angle shot, Nathan, enhancing the wonderful patterns in the sands The toning works well, too
Good luck with the bowling...if it's outdoors, hope it's a bit drier than here!
Wonderful tones, a super shot
Glorious mud! Lovely image.
Excellent composition and the tones are just fantastic Nathan. have a good weekend
Excellent POV showing the patterns of those mud flats enhanced by the sepia toning.
Lovely sepia shot Nathan
with all those lines and patterns
Organic and very beautiful.....
I like the tone and the vignette in this. Have fun bowling Nathan.
Great processing Nathan, like the sepia toneing, great capture
A very moody and atmospheric image Nathan. Beautiful
I like the composition a lot, it makes a virtue of flat emptiness, it makes repetition interesting. It makes me use my eyes and brain. But the pinkish sepia toning doesn't work for me. It looks muddy, murky. It also reduces contrast and detail, and that in turn reduces the effect of light shining through clouds and onto the wet mud.
Also you have some harsh white dots in the foreground. Those will have been much more delicate in the original, light sparkling on wet pebbles, but compression has exaggerated them. It's worth resizing the image yourself and always checking it over afterwards for such problems.
For me, this would be worth more work, because it really is a 'takes you there' composition.
Hope you won't be offended by that.
Interesting because of the lights and darks and shapes here!
Great image the toning works very well, great atmoshere. regards Dave
What a brilliant pov Nathan, and the Sepia treatment REALLY working well here. Recognised the Power Station straight away
a very pleasing image Nathan
Looks like a futuristic movie still
A natural abstract with lovely pattern and the reality of industry in the distance. Hope the bowling goes well.
a tremendous piece of work, have a good week end.
A rather bleak vista so the choice of sepia toning is just right.
great shot, great presentation, great processing.
Like the depth in this one Nathan.
Nature's natural jigsaw puzzle.
Great sepia landscape! I wonder if the light in the center is natural or digitally manipulated. And great title!
One of your best, Nathan! What I term "a contender"...
Superb Mono shot Nathan, enjoy your bowling
Excellent detail and textures in this mono image Nathan.
Have fun at bowling!
Wonderful, bleak picture. I love the lack of colour as you then have to concentrate on the content.
Just the right POV, Nathan - a well composed, proportioned, taken and presented image!
Hope you enjoyed the bowling Nathan.

Beautifully processed and works a treat in sepia, Nathan.
Shall I add Woolybills to the list for the Lion's Stadium, Nathan?
5mm Focal Length? Wide angle indeed..! Not an error and was The Canon 50mm f1.8
That power station is in sight for endless miles when navigating up towards London, remember it well.
