I've not been well recently and Richard bought me some flowers yesterday which was very thoughtful of him.
I've taken this against the pink carpet next to the patio window this morning - and added a layer of frost - well why not, this summer has been a real hotchpotch of weather, so why not add a bit of winter to it 
I'm keeping busy to help pass the days until I get the results of tests done last week, so I'm off to school to sort things for September, and look for some photos to take, of course

What a great idea to use the carpet as a backdrop, the texture also compliments the flower, overall an excellent captured and processed photograph. Hope the tests are OK.

Oh yes I have, but they have not yet replaced me, so I'm partly clearing up from last term and partly preparing for the start of next term as I will be working 1 day a week to tide them over until they find someone to take the job on
Great backdrop, the textures and colour compliment the flower

A wise and not least artistic choice of colours, Helen. The chosen bg is perfect. The processing is very complementary and executed so well... overall a very pleasing image.
Hubby bought you flowers? Hmmm...tries to hide guilty conscience as can't remember last time I bought mrs. salty flowers.

Hubby bought me flowers, my foot - these were from my son and the red roses for my anniversary were from my daughter !!!!
Had a feeling hubby wasn't a Richard Beautifully matched flower/background/texture, Helen.

Hope you are much better now. Photographers are photographers - they cannot leave the camera alone even they are poorly. Nice work Helen. Must say it has a Oriental feel to this. Perhaps it has a resemblance to Peony which the Chinese uses a lot in their paintings.
I hope your tests prove ok and nothing serious Helen - pretty flower shot nicely detailed with good colour
