This is a difficult shot to take because of the sky behind the protesters. However, it's very common for people to take photos of friends in such lighting conditions so it looks like your camera phone knows how to deal with it. As a result, the exposure seems pretty good, to me though, in software, you could brighten it a bit. It would be nice to see a bit more detail in the shadows and it won't matter much if you blow out the sky to pure white as there's nothing to see there, anyway.
The composition is natural and makes good sense. It might have been nice to shoot from a little farther back so that the protesters' heads were both against the sky, rather than against the tree, as that would give really nice framing.
